Photos from the exhibition:

The cabinet has a jug 'made in Inkpen'; a replica of 'the Inkpen Beaker' (date 1,500BC?); a bronze age bowl on loan from West Berks Museum and Roman and medaeval coins found in the area.

The oil Painting is 'Inkpen Remembered ' by Christopher Hall RA in which he has put some of the houses that have been demolished since he was a child. This picture is the inspiration for this exhibition.

An Exhibition of oil paintings by ALLAN SAMUELS (Sam) and ceramics by TIM FOSTER will be held at The Beacon Gallery from midday on Saturday 31st. October until Sunday November 8th. Hours of opening: weekends 12.00 - 5.00 and weekdays 2.00 - 5.00.

Sam’s beautiful paintings are done in his tiny studio at Milton Lilbourne and are becoming very popular. He recently sold four pictures at the Mall Gallery, Central London, and one to HRH Princess Michael of Kent.

Many local residents will remember with affection the Foster Family who lived at Ivy House in Post Office Road and that Tim played a major part in the conversion of the milking parlour into the Beacon Gallery in 2004. The Fosters now live in Shropshire and despite being very busy with their flourishing smallholding, Tim continues to develop his pottery and wood turning and is showing his work in local galleries.

This Exhibition should prove to be very exciting - don’t miss it !
